Hi all.....

Been doing a but if searching but either cannot find the info or I am getting confused!!

Can anyone tell me what (if any) differences there are between the engine in a ZT 180 and a ZT190... I know the map is different, but what about the engine

The ZT 180 is the same unit as the 190 which have the same uprated cams.
The ZS 180 however is the same 177 unit as the 75....if I remember rightly.

As Ed says, detuned by a map. Not sure if its further restricted with the airbox or exhaust

Ok..... Now I am even more confused

I have searched the Tech Specs of both the ZS180 and the ZT180 on several websites....

The Figures of 177 Bhp and 240 nm of torque come up for both models

Is this really the case and if so why the uprated cams

If not has anyone got the Actual tech specs for the ZT 180

See Below for examples

Arrghhhhh!!!!

Getting very confused now....

If you take a look here, at Chapter 10 (post 12) it seems to indicate that the 190 was the ONLY engine to have the uprated bits and the 180 did NOT have them

http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...t=75282&page=2

Someone help me here as I dont want to stick the wrong engine back in the car

AFAIK the 180 engine is the same as a R75 2.5KV6 177bhp.

SARRJSLPBXM****** - Digit eight denotes the engine:

Engine:

E = 2.5 V6 (160PS) Petrol
F = 2.5 V6 (190PS) Petrol
G = 4.6 V8 Petrol
H = 2.0 Diesel
K = 2.0 V6 Petrol
L = 2.5 V6 Petrol
P = 1.8 Petrol
R = 1.8 T Petrol

Therefore if you have a 180 then digit 8 would be "L"

Some info from the dark side

Zt 180's are the same as ZT190, it is just the tune that is different. The VIN is not the comprehensive list of engine derivations and there are sub groups depending on what equipment is installed. I remember having this debate a few months ago and other more knowledgeable members informed me they were the same engine. I will look for the thread.
