Rover 75 roof lining.
I need to replace the sunroof in my 2005 facelift rover 75. The manual says that the roof lining has to be removed & that its difficult & a garage job. Can anyone tell me if its that difficult to get the lining out & more importantly getting it back in again.I don,t have any fears about putting a new sunroof in but possible damage to the roof lining would be a problem.

Very simple to do, just remove handles, interior lights sun visors a b and c pillar trims. There is also a connector in the drivers side A pillar that needs disconnecting and a ring terminal on the drivers side c pillar.
You will need to remove the door seals at the top, recline both front seats and you will be able to slide it out of the front passenger door. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Many thanks for your advice. When putting it back, how is it held in place-clips, glue or just by items removed ie visors, handles, interior lights etc.?.

It's held in by the items you removed to get it out. The seals keep it in around the edges, no glue required. Bend as little as possible when getting it back in the car.

Personally I like to remove the passenger seat if you don’t have a extra pair of hands, I find for the time it takes to remove the seat and refit it just helps stopping it getting creased, and of cause you can always do those pesky airbag connectors while your at it
