Default V6 engine and manual gearbox - 12,000 miles

I’ve just bought the complete Sandstone leather interior plus some other bits from a 75 with 12,000 miles - it’s absolutely immaculate and I’m chuffed to bits with it. It’s an absolute tragedy really because the car was chopped in under the scrappage scheme so can’t be sold.

I moved the car in the yard to get it under the lights and the engine is beautiful - hummed like a new car. It was owned from new by a chap who garaged it and it was inherited and put towards a flippin’ Fiesta! Anyway, I just wanted to let you all know that there’s an amazing V6 engine with a manual gearbox going and, if you’re interested, I’ll pass on the fella’s details.

This is why I hate the scrappage scheme. Low mileage classics like that being chopped in for yet another boring econobox.

Yes, it’s a shame but lots of it will live on in my car. I’m going back next week and I’ll check if it’s a 2.0 or 2.5 V6. Trouble is that nobody wants a 2.0 litre V6, do they? The battery is brand new but the breaker wants to try and sell the engine complete so wouldn’t let me buy it! I did get the unused steel spare wheel and tool kit still in its wrapping as well.
