Cool Alarm "all doors open"

Hi!

I’m new to the forum, but I have owned my Rover 75 since yar 2000, and have experienced very few problems with the car (if any). The current problem started when the «open» warning light indicated that one of the rear doors were open. It may have a connection to a recent repair job, where the rear door panel was removed, because the exterior door handle would not open the door (a MOT failure in Norway) . Now the warning light suddently indicates that all 4 doors are open! Could it be just as simple as the fuse? Ans in that case: which one? Or, any other solutionds?

Best whishes,

Leif Eriksen

Default Lock problem

Hello Leif,
From memory, all the locks have a secondary tiny catch in them which senses when the locking mechanism is in place and the door is locked, sending a signal to the instruments. This sensor failed on my N/S/R lock a number of years ago, and at the time I obtained a replacement, switched the part and the warning "went out". Could you have disturbed this catch and it is not now set correctly?
