Default My latest modding on Redfive

Been busy doing a few little mods on Redfive again. This time tinted the tail lights, painted the exhaust heatshields gloss black and also used some gloss vinyl on the section of the bumper between the heatshields and just above the diffuser. Before and after Pic in the 2nd pic below.

The tint on the tail lights has barely affected light output which is just what I was hoping for, as didn't want the tail lights to end up looking dim.

Tinting the lights and applying the vinyl is probably the hardest mod I've ever done, each light took about a hour and a half to do. They're not perfect, but not bad for a first time using tint film and vinyl. Really pleased with the look this has achieved for the rear end

I think you did a nice job Rick, so no spray used for the tinting just foil or? Is this some sort of wrap foil?

Nice to see the old bus still being cared for Rick. It's 10 years since I started the mods on Red 5 and those rear quarter light 5 of diamonds stickers have lasted well mate.

Still being looked after and spoilt wow 10 years, think it must be about 6 years since the first time I saw redfive. Never thought I'd be doing so much to it when I bought it a year and 3 months ago.

Yes those stickers are on perfectly still. Love them

Mg7 lights will take a tint fine as I always found them to be too bright when I had them on my zt.

Looking good some nice mods been done.

Wow that's amazing .
It took me months on deciding to paint my grill black and fit rubber floor mats.
But that's the extent of my modifications

Probably controversial but I dont like it. The car is looking like its been on a smash and grab through Halfrauds
Obviously everyone is different and what one person likes another doesnt but modifications can cheapen the look of a nice car.
Its obviously a well cared for and totally immaculate car, just wouldnt be my choice.

Cheers checked the tail, brake, rear fogs, reverse and indicators and the light output doesn't seem any different for all of them which I'm pleased about might get some night pics tonight if I remember to.

Thanks I painted the mesh grill gloss black on my old ZT-T which i really liked. Been thinking about doing it on this one but decided to keep the shiny stainless grill, just looks too nice to paint. Plus Ian must have gone through a lot of effort to change it when he had the car as the mesh isn't easy to change on the zt bumpers.

Not sure about the finish on the rear lights, not to my taste, but apart from that it's stunning. Loving the black exhaust trims

Didn't think I'd like the tints on the rear lights, but they work really well to my mind. Together with the black paint, it sort of pulls the whole rear end of the car together.

A very nice job all round .
