Cool Over revving

Whilst stuck in a traffic jam Banana started to over rev, foot was nowhere near the loud pedal. If I blipped the loud pedal the engine settled down. Moved forward 10 yards and the car done it again. Whilst in this particular jam it happened several times.
Car never overheated as the fan was cutting in, and out, all ok.

Never happened again.

Reason why this should happen? And is it an easy fix?

Stepper motor had a funny turn? It controls the idle speed depending on any load on the engine, lights, aircon etc.

Throttle shaft friction sticking with the slight movement used in crawling traffic?

The "return plate" held by nut on squared shaft end worn due to loosening over the years, causing throttle not to fully close? Been there.

No decent cars out there, so I’ll stick with the Yellow One. Any chance I could ask Dawn to use your credit card to buy the bits I need to make Banana good again, seeing as I’m your poor country cousin.

Rimmers had new throttle bodies pretty cheap Bob, would be easier to stick a new one on rather than need about cleaning yours.
