Hmmm. Do you really want to on the M25 with a dodgy fan and perhaps no Air Con ??
Considered M11 as far as it goes into London then dual carrieageway all the way to Blackwall followed by the A2 ?? |

Yes that's a good idea or M11 to A406 (To Dagenham-A13) & back to M25 just by Lakeside which is pretty much on the edge of the bridge.

I am very circumspect about my speed on major roads. I can however let rip on the roads around here. The roads are nice and twisty but in a flat landscape so no nasty surprises. I was overtaken recently by a sierra cossie on the Wittlesey road at a speed in excess of 100 him not me your honour, I was doing a sedate coughmumblecough and literally minding my own business. I could not see the rear of his car for dust and small pebbles.

When I have to use it for Heathrow I know it can be a Pain,
but the hour I normally travel at reasonably smooth. Fortunately being a few Hundred miles away I forget Europe's Biggest car Park. But there again I have the M6! Mick I know you would only drive at speeds suitable for the Road |

Okay, we've organised with the pub around the corner, The Crown, for food to be available from around 5pm. They provide a good range of pub food (e.g. lasagne, baguettes, steak & chips, scampi & chips, sausage & mash) at reasonable prices.

Have a nice mini meet!
Too bad, for me it's just a little bit too far for a one day round trip ...
