Default Dull knock on cdt

It has 98000 miles,I have owned the car 4 years and it has always had this noise. AFAIR anyway.
It doesn't smoke,or use oil,no lack of performance, noise is there on tickover and at revs doesn't appear to be getting louder with age.
I have had one diagnosis of bottom end bearings, but it's not as loud as that, compared to other cdts mine is definately noisier.

Turn the radio up a little louder Richard, it'll help you concentrate on keeping your furrows straight

It's the creaking joints of the aged drivers that colour attracts

Does this mean you're in the market for a nice gold car Colin, given your advancing years
Here pictured is a White Gold owner in their younger days.....

Buy a nice quiet petrol variant, that is apart from the hissing steam noises, however easier to ignore than the clacker dack dack of DERV.
So in summary, your car is noisy, has not become more noisy since purchase, but not as quiet as some other diesels.
I don't know what to say, if it was acceptable when you bought it, why not now Richard ?
