Default Hands free and steering controls for Naval 3

Hi guys

I was wondering how to go about setting up a hands free kit in my 75 with Nav 3 unit? I know that the head unit has Bluetooth already so I guess it's a case of pairing my phone with it...? And do I not need a mic?

Also, I want to connect up the steering wheel controls with my Nav 3. How do I go about doing this? My precious head unit was a standard cassette one I think. No highlife or anything like that. Just the basic one. Many thanks.

Hi Rav,

Microphone is built in so nothing to buy.....although you can use an external mic instead should you wish.

The loom that came with your Navall 3, is the red large connector still on it?
The cassette unit you had previously, which model was it?

If it was a symphony you have to do a bit of splicing to get the steering wheel controls up and running, if not then it should just be a case of connecting the yellow/green/blue connector into the red connector on the Navall 3.

That should be it fingers crossed

Thanks, Jeff. I'm not sure about the red connector. I will check. Will an external mic work better?

I think it was a Symphony unit I had. Cheers.
