Check the brake pedal switch. The tang of the pedal needs to be in close contact with the switch. It is a Hall effect switch and senses the proximity of the tang, if it cannot, the brake lights are switched on.

There needs to be a 12v ignition feed on pin 25 - Green/Purple cable - of the LSM connector from pin 4 of the switch connector, (12v feed, brake lights off - no voltage, brake lights on). As the switch is OK, it could be a break in the cable.

Quite often the pins on the light switch module plug and socket cause problems.---Need to be cleaned of any slight corrosion.--

Worth a check.

A different LSM will show up as a fault as it has to be T4d to the car.---
