USB 3 and USB 2

Will a USB 2.0 port connect and work with a USB 3 device for example with a USB 3.0 SD card reader? |

Yes, but obviously you won't get USB 3 speeds.

You are welcome.. I have both USB 2 and 3 ports on my gaming rig and all my devices run happily on both but you can definately see the speed difference transferring data thru USB 2.
My Media PC is a bit aged now and only has USB 2 on board so i send any files to it through the network instead of using USB sticks.
