Check the plug on ABS unit under the battery tray. It is vulnerable to water.
Pull the locking strap towards the front of the car until you feel a click and the plug will come off easily. Check for traces of water or green coloured corrosion. CAREFULL the small pins are delicate Hope this helps PS A thought. After "swimming" during the floods The speedo died and the wipers went to 'intermittent' as if stationary. After few miles it did return to normal but I am still left with ABS/TC and brake warning lights (sure its that dreaded plug and socket again - still looking for a replacement ABS unit)
