Coolbox and misbehaving wipers.

Away on hols this week and while away plugged my Ring coolbox into my newly installed auxiliary power socket in the cubbybox which is piggybacked into a ignition live supply.

All was well till till I parked up, and turned the ignition totally off.

A few seconds later the wipers started on their own

wiped a few times and stopped.

Restarted engine turned off and it did it again :eek.

As we out for the day, I unplugged coolbox, and off we went to the beach. Came back a few hours later but didn't plug it in.

Got back to the caravan turned off, waited, and nothing and nothing since.

I can only assume somehow the coolbox is implicated.

Any ideas anyone ??????

Sounds like the type of issue you get with feedback from the K-bus

Switched live is wrong way round, ie, when a new radio is fitted with the switched live & permanent live the wrong way round, the wipers do a sweep when you turn the car off. Sounds as if you've done something similar

suzublu explains it nicely, that’s what causes the issue, the amount of aftermarket stereos I’ve seen cause this issue by using the K-bus live is shocking

So should using as different live supply cure this ?
