Quantify this one then !
Having suffered a major incident rendering me unable to drive either of my cars, I have done the right thing and offered one of them to a chum who is having grief with his German product of car technology!
I offered him the use of either car a few weeks ago, but I think his pride got in the way of accepting my offer. Today he bowed down and accepted the offer. He asked me to see what difference it would make to my insurance cover. Got on to the internet as I have on-line access to perform some changes to my cover, entered in all the required fields and sent off the request, system not able to process our request, tried 3 times, then rang them up to point out the system failures. Submitted all the details verbally and wehay ! Another driver on the policy (10 years older than me) gave a credited figure, which has adjusted my monthly DD to a lower figure ! This is a 1st for me in my history of driving, is this commonplace or am I just fortunate this time ? I still need to sell my 190 though ! |

My sons ZT insurance cost dropped when I was added to it.

This is common if the second driver represents a better risk.

Mine was lower on the ZT until swmbo went and got caught speeding doing 36 in a 30, it then actually put the premium up on renewal, so off she came (it was no biggy really, she didn't like driving it anyway as it was to big for her, her admission).

Ditto, but just as important, what did he think of the car?
