Default at my wits end with abs issues

After months of changing, cleaning and renewing parts on the brakes ... yesterday I changed the entire hub for a used one with a wheel bearing and sensor attached. Went for a drive and yippee light went out!!!! Seconds later back on. Now I've chanced all wheel bearings for oem and same goes for sensors ( no ebay ****) ... abs pump... I did have a problem with my wire foe my speedo but all sorted. I truly truly truly am peed off. I have no idea or money to put it right .... and mot is due end of the month.

If it were my car, I wouldn't throw money at it, I have learned this the hard way. Get the car to TS Autos, T4 will sort the source of the problem.

My 75 gave me the run around when I first got it, Phil T-4 gave me some sound advice, took this, tried it and it seemed beyond me at the time. Phil came over one day, put on his box of tricks and this gave us the clues we needed. He also verified the results and showed me a few techniques for doing some checks with some wiring loom and abs plugs to identify which bearing was the dead one, or in my car's case - Both
Ended up with both front wheel bearings and sensors replaced, and all has been good ever since.
A T-4 session should bring closure to the problem source for you.

Check your CAN BUSH wiring. Twisted pairs on the plugs to the units also plug and sockets of all parts. Damp plays hell with these connections

Have you checked all the ABS sensors with a voltmeter as suggested here?

http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...d.php?t=219368

The ABS system is best diagnosed before changing parts - ideally with a T4, but a few simple checks with a voltmeter can identify the majority of common faults.

This is a front hub being tested prior to fitting:

[IMG][/IMG]

The white extension cable has been made up from some old speaker wire and a scrap ABS plug and socket which saves pinning through the ABS cable insulation, and can be used to connect any ABS sensor to the OSF to use the speedometer as a diagnostic.

As each magnetic segment passes the ABS sensor the voltage changes from 0.7v to 1.7v. If you jack each wheel up in turn and slowly rotate it then mark with chalk on the tyre any missed segments.

If the missed segments are random, then likely a sensor issue or the air gap between it and the magnetic reluctor ring may be too big.

If the segments are missed at the same point on the tyre each revolution then likely the reluctor itself is damaged.

You can also check all the wiring for continuity.

A diagnostic check will pin point the new fault. Get it plugged in and it stops the guess work.

Could not agree more but Jules said the other day that Terry (TSAUTOS) has almost retired.

The was/is a Member on here (TINPIN) that had the same issues with his R75 and he eventually scrapped it after trying quite a few things to correct the issue, but gave up.

I bought quite a bit of stuff of him at the time, as he was local to me. He replaced it with a red facelift, here on the left of photo.

This is my son getting the wheels of it for his R75...

Abs went off today for a full 10 minutes... then came back on and every time I press the brakes... abs kicks in. Couldn't even drive to work it was that dangerous. Think it's time for some pertol and a match.......
