Finally got the big tent out of its box and erected (ooo err) This afternoon, the Dorchester now has somewhere to hide.

Tents seem to be the vogue item to have this season. There is another one standing on a drive in North Tyneside

So that's why the sun went in. Trikey's gone camping!

I have a friend that does Hydrodipping and he can get a perfect match for you. Give him a try at Hydrov8 ltd in Peterborough, can get the heater surround done at the same time

Invested 18 quid in an electric oil extractor for the car last week and used it for the 1st time yesterday.
Wow, so easy to use, it took less than 20 mins to do a full oil and filter change. No mess, No getting under the car and removing the engine cover, no hoping you get the catchment tank in the right place and no getting covered in oil.
Perfect job and it extracted 6.65 ltrs from the engine (used a measuring jug to make sure it was all out).
Highly recommend anyone to get one. It’s as simple as sticking a pipe down the dipstick holder into the slump. Connecting to the battery, extraction pipe into a container and switching it on. Takes about 15 mins to empty the slump and you will know it’s done as the pump will change tone.

As you all know, I much prefer the spanner’s to the polishing cloths..

Seeing as the Dorchester is now sorted mechanically, I figured I’d give her a treat and remove some muck and grime.

A wash, followed by claying the paintwork, then a good going over with Megs ScratchX before waxing. Sadly ran out of time or there would have been a coat of sealer on as well.

Respect to the likes of Teflon, Ricardo and all the other polishing gurus, it’s Bl00dy hard work!

Yep very hard work but always worth it in the end when you get that deep shine and everyone with 3 year old cars looking on in total envy knowing their Ford, Vauxhall ETC will never look as good as our 75's/ZT's in 5 years time, yet alone 20 plus years

Tell me about it. Soft 99 King of gloss is the best wax by far. I can't find anything to beat it
