I remember it well. I was 'in the industry' then and the underlying (and blatantly lying) messages were glaringly obvious.

Algorithms? Aren't they used so staff don't have to either think, or be qualified in anything other than on-line gambling?

It just might be about to change though. Two ministers are on very shaky ground. Thankfully, not because of the P word (so presumably we can 'observe' the shenanigans), but because of the ensuing scandal of mis-management. The sound of the ritual Washing-of-The-Hands is deafening from Liliputia.

Gary, this bit below is what I keep on bleating about.--( Viruses are VERY small. )---

4.13 Facemasks, or surgical masks, are primarily designed to protect the environment from particles expelled by the wearer. If fitted properly, and used and changed in accordance with manufacturers instructions, they provide a physical barrier to large droplets but will not provide full respiratory protection against smaller particles such as aerosols.

For AEROSOLS read viruses.--------------

Cos they are TINY.

See Spain haven't declared figures for 3 days now, are they hiding something I wonder?

https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/

Also UK figures have been noticeably low since the accounting has been altered. Interesting.

There will be some who believe that, like the MOT, once tested and found to be clear of Covid, they will not get it tomorrow. Look after yourselves if you can, but don't lose sight of other ailments and the normal woes of life.

A friend of my wife's who is a Virologists who works at one of the Oxford universities was telling us today that we should not expect this all to be over even by this time next year unless this vaccine works and even then they wont be able to vaccinate all of us in less than a year.

She then went on to tell us the Spanish flu from 1918 is still around but because most people are now immune from it there is little or no effect unless you have an underlying health problem. The average of 15,000 deaths a year from flu in the UK is considered normal so the extra with Covid will become the new normal.

She reckons we will be wearing face masks and having local lockdowns for at least another couple of years and the scary part is the amount of people that actually do have the virus but are showing little or no symptoms could be 5 times more that the official figures.

The variance in the official opinions, and the reshaping of public health policies as the "knowledge base" surrounding this virus evolves is quite astonishing.

I'm simply going to take my chances, I've no interest in wasting what time I have left worrying about "what ifs", and concentrate on enjoying life instead.

That is not to say I will be behaving recklessly, but I certainly will be taking the official line with a large pinch of salt, I firmly believe this to be more a case of coercive control en-masse than anything else.
