KV6 Cambelts
Hello - Can anyone recommend somewhere in Southwest for a KV6 belt change. I've changed belts on 4 cyl K & Honda D but have chickened out with my V6! Thanks.

There's a place up around Bristol that comes well recommended: Have a look at this thread: https://the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/s...d.php?t=261608

Hi Don,
Beware of any misinformation, by PM, telling you that the belts last forever and only need changing at 90,000 miles, irrespective of how old and degraded they are! I am sure that you will appreciate that any engineer worth his salt, or in fact anyone who has any kind of mechanical appreciation, will know that this is total BS

As already said above, don't just rely on the mileage covered.
There is a good reason why a time is also specified. I recently did a 2003 KV6 with 32k on the clock & although I could see that the belts had been changed before, the front belt that I took off was starting to crack & split in between the teeth. The rear belts don't appear to suffer as much with this problem (but of course, I always fit a full kit & pump). Everything was bone dry so this wasn't caused by oil contamination.
