Default Wrong callipers!

I have just been told by my local mechanic that the callipers I ordered to replace the originals on my Rover 75 KV6 tourer are wrong! WTF? Turns out that Euro car parts returns the wrong part for the model when you enter your registration. On further digging with one of their desk staff (helpful bloke actually), we discover what we think is the correct part for my car, which they can get for me tomorrow (not from EU Spares, although I'm tempted)! The thing is that these appear to be 'matched' to the 120 PS R75s and 160 PS MG ZTs, so diesel models presumably. But that can't be right can it? Surely they'll fit all variants? Anyone think otherwise?

Reading more carefully, it states 120 PS for R75 and 160 PS for MGZT, which is even more confusing but Rimmers has the same part.

David, to the best of my knowledge all rover 75 discs and pads are the same with the exception of the 190 and the 260

You would think so. Meanwhile, the ECP error has made me look a bit of a tw*t with my local fitter! Thanks David.

Not a shock for ECP - a generic factor will always publish any mistakes in the 'catalogue' and be completely unaware.
Use Rimmers to locate the ones you need.

Did that before I ordered from ECP but didn't think after using the car's registration that their catalogue is wrong. If they're not for an R75, I'm still not sure what car the ones I ordered are for . They have BMW stamped on them. They're going back tomorrow and I have to wait ANOTHER two weeks to have the right ones fitted.

In that case its as others have said, only two types, standard or the 190 spec.
