Wheel refurb place in Scotland?
Hi guys
Looking to hopefully get some wheels refurbed in the near future. I've never had wheels refurbed before so no idea where to go and what they actually do? How can I tell a good job from a bad job? And, where would you recommend? And, what kind of cost is involved? Wheels are 17". Must be in Fife, Tayside, Glasgow, Edinburgh region. Many thanks.

If you fancy a trip speak to Robbie at Ultimate Alloys in Musselburgh. He's done the apexes on the 260 and a set of Gridspokes for me, good job and reasonable price.

Im looking for a place that can do a wet finish, NOT the powercoat BS that I see everywhere.
If anyone knows a place in Scotland.... let me know! If anyone is interested on the paint I use for Apex wheels, I go for Nissan GTR Grey, (K11) paint code. |

Showing my ignorance here, but what is the difference between a 'wet' finish and powder coat ? Why is one better than the other and is there a difference in hardness (and hence durability) ?
Thanks

I use a guy called Dougie Stewart. He does work for most of the big garages in Perth and Dundee like Dundee Audi. Has a van and will come to you not sure how far he will travel though.

Fife powdercoatings in Glenrothes, seen a few bike frames etc that they have done and the finish has been excellent.
