Sorry Dallas, I don't accept your platitudes.
I have children in both camps, So I am well able to judge their life struggles. No comparison. Kev. |

Gone are the days that a course is passed or failed on a final exam, most curriculum are based on 50% course work and 50% written exams-there are many variations. The course work was the main issue, as well as the extra work/revision that is put in place in the weeks before the exam. Some pupils are able to study on their own, not so for SEN students for example, especially as they would be reliant on the practicals and coursework to get them through-these would not be the Eaton crowd either. As far as the teachers been at work, many were sent home to self isolate, leaving huge gaps in the specialism subjects and further upsetting the level playing field. The government/ofqual and the exam boards spent many many weeks consulting and eventually came up with criteria for the teachers to make a professional assessment based on, well their professional judgement-this took many house of consultation within the schools to ensure that the grades were correct-they were. All this work was then discarded, based on a decision taken by non-teaching staff who based this on some nonsensical and obtuse computer program. Yes the youth need to learn that life is unfair but williamson and his over-educated cronies need to learn that the education system is a concept that they have failed in many ways, due to their arrogant misconception of what actually goes on in classes, in 90% of schools in their own backyard.
