If I were you I would get a front and rear sensor. The most likely is the front and if your speedo is working then the o/s is o.k. To test the n/s unplug it where it enters under the bonnet and plug the new one in and turn ign on and the light should go out, (if you drive like that it will light up again because it is not reading any signal), getting the old one out is the prob because it will probably have to be drilled out and that is a delicate operation. I took mine to Nick at Austin garage because he is used to doing it. Didn't trust myself to do it. If you don't know what you are doing you could ruin the bearing seal and then it becomes a major job. Hope this helps. Dennis.

Thanks Dennis, bought the sensors, still have fault so have ordered another rear for the other side, if that does not work will have to get onto a T4 for some diagnostic checks....

My recent addition came with leaky water pump, no Speedo and ABS light on permanently. Helpful posts told me it was the drivers side bearing and possibly the sensor. Took the bearing out and found that the previous owner had bodged the job and managed to shake the seals of the bearing loose and the inner one was trapped. Reassembled carefully and ran the car in gear with the front wheels off the ground, Speedo OK but ABS light still on. One of the ABS threads says that the ABS resets itself when the car is in motion! Tried it and it worked. A car without an ABS light on the dashboard. Many thanks to all who share their knowledge and/or bitter experiences.
