Default New Varta Battery

I've become weary of recharging the failing Lion Battery on my 2.5 litre and so treated myself to a new battery. Silver Varta, 77Ah for a smidge under £80 from Tayna Baterries - ordered on Friday, turned up lunchtime on Saturday - if only everything in life was so straightforward...

Received an original Webasto dosing pump for the FBH a few days ago to replace the cheap nasty chinese version that I had originally fitted (and didnt work properly). Delighted to see the new 'proper' version made a huge difference in the heat output! Although with the rest of the car under 4-5in of snow, I wont be using it for a while!!

Today I anointed the 75 as my new daily driver after the Micra pulled the dreaded EPS fault

Well, yesterday, today and tomorrow between snow showers I have / will continue to refit Harman Kardon, get all the speakers working instead of the two bodged ones. refit powerfolds and looms, and get the car back to spec. Oh.....and figure out how to free the half jammed rear seat......

A wire coathanger pushed down the side of the button on the stuck side, flick the spring clip and you good to go Chris.

Didn’t use a coat hanger, used a hacksaw handle, and managed to free it first time! Good start to the day 😁

I fitted the new sgs boot struts that came.

It makes you wonder when you replace something and it works as it should, how you put up with before.

I didn't do anything! Its still got many inches of snow parked in the drive. Should be in the garage but the other R75 came back from garage work and MOT and is in the garage. Son in law is constructing a rose arch for a customer in the "barn" where the recent MOT one is so no room! Roll on Global Warming!
