Maf replacement
My maf keeps playing up so will need to replace for a new one which one apart from Bosch is best dmgrs sell their own any ideas on this one I will be fitting the synergy so maybe the pierburg would be a better option .

See above thread Pierburgs are a waste of time too, even with a Synergy no matter what the setting it still won't match the correct fuelling across the rev range Russ

What about dmgrs maf insert any good anyone got one or used one or tested any opinions on this one I respect what you are saying bigruss Bosch are best looking for a maf a bit cheaper if possible

What Russ and Jamie say is correct a non Bosch MAF is a complete waste of time and money

Out of interest, can the actual sensor be swapped out or do they have to come as a complete unit? If they can then whole BOSCH units for the BMW can be got for under 30 quid, swap out the sensors and save around 100 quid?

Yes the sensor can be removed from the housing, you will need a security torx in order to do it. Halfords have a decent set for £20 in their Advanced range.
