Replaced handbrake compensator on the 51 plate tourer with a mini one, will compare with the other tourer which has the stainless steel one fitted.

Washed, then clayed, waxed and polished. Cleaned the windows, polished the headlights. And the Bear scrubs up well for 16 year old. Tomorrow I’ll clean the wheels and fill her up with go go juice..

Whilst in the process od refitting my exhaust, i thought I would have a go at removing some of the rust from underneath that I have been meaning to do for ages. Really pleased that what I first thought was really bad rust just turned out to be surface rust. After removing with a wire wheel on my angle grinder, lovely clean solid metal underneath. I've now ordered some red oxide paint which will go on, followed by some hammerite or ssimilar to give the old girl hopefully some more years of use!!

Resealed the OSF brake caliper along with a new piston and hoovered the interior. Might even give it a wash today.

T4
Dropped in on Mickyboy and had a T4 medical. Cle@n bill of health apart from one VIN mismatch. Apparantly the light control module is incorrect for the model. His knowledge is formidable.

tried to clay off a bad Simoniz job. Found it was only partially successful. So I got the Tcut out and that did it
It was the colourfast type, not the usual one. I'll now wait for Easter and try Simoniz again when the metal is cold After claying of course
