My liver problem can cause varices in the gut hence the regular (horrendous!) endoscopies however they changed my blood pressure med to one that specifically targets the gut, God knows how so no more hosepipe down the throat

Just had one hell of a hail then heavy rain shower, watched the sky getting blacker and blacker before it arrived, still raining now.

It's sunny and reasonably warm here .

I need to get one of those lead injection devices to stop the grey squirrels from demolishing the bird food. They eat more in 5 minutes than the birds do in 2 days.

Quizzie loves to pop out and say hello but obviously that just scares them off, it doesn't solve the problem.

Suggestions welcome .

Pops hates them as well, mention squirrels and she hurtles out the back door

Are the bird feeders on a pole? Ours has nothing high near it (within jumping distance) and we have one of those inverted acrylic dome jobbies that stops anything climbing. If yours isn't on a pole (tree or whatever) I'd consider squirrel proof feeders, like the left & right ones below.

Sounds good Steve, I haven't had any Jersey royals yet this year and I love them with best butter . When I ordered my seed potatoes last year they didn't have any advertised so I went with another variety called Picasso. They call Jersey royals 'international kidney' as they're a protected designation of origin potato. I'll have to make sure I get some next year.

Fish cakes & seafood paella for tea tonight with a bottle of Henry's

Goodnight all, extremely tired nowadays. My day consists of work, home change shoes off to hospital, home tea then bed, often felt like dropping off mid afternoon I’m that burned out. Tomorrow after work I need to go to mum’s flat and collect her clothes bring them home and label them with her name before taking to the home where she will be going as from Monday
