Default replacement wheel bolts

Does anyone know where I can get a good set of new shiny wheel bolts? Maybe stainless ones?

The wheel bolts on my ZT-T are very rusty and were really difficult to remove, so looking to replace them with a brand new set.

Cheers

Guess you’ve seen these on ebay. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GENUINE-M...-/131974563916

Not sure about stainless, I once looked into getting some for my SD1 and was advised against stainless though I can’t remember why.

ps. Still waiting to hear back from MarinaBrian about my message centre.

Stainless steel bolts are less ductile than mild steel bolts and so are more likely to snap - I don't think they are recommended for where there may be high impacts loads or in load bearing applications.

Probably wouldn't go with the stainless mate, they look pretty but due to the properties of stainless steel they don't do very well in the highly stressed areas, only a bit of advice but I've had a stainless bar mount (custom top yoke) fracture on my bandit so elected to swap them out for original and then chromed.
Not an expert on these matters but was told by a wheel shop it's not something they would sell due to not being able to guarantee they are fit for purpose.

Obviously to sell 5 lots instead of 4 for the whole stock!

Why not put covers on the bolts? you can get these in a variety of finishes from chrome to coloured. A set of 20 is under £10 usually including the tool to remove them.

As far as the threads being rusty use a rotary wire brush to clean them up and a smear of copper grease.

I would assume to replace the rubbish locking wheel nuts that like to eat keys if not looked after.
