another boot leak.
All this heavy rain has me perplexed.
Water is accumalating in the boot. luckily it is landing on the rubber liner and not on a carpet. I suspect it is getting past the rubber sealing strip surrounding the boot lid but it looks in good condition. No water traces? I have looked at the two rubber stoppers at each side of the boot lid. I have screwed them both in to the fullest extent. Could it be the actual shut line of the boot lid? Any help appreciated. Kev. [IMG][/IMG] |

I'm now 99% sure it's the rubber seal that cushions the boot lid. I will repair with silicone sealant when the weather dries up. Should be as right as rain when sealed. Kev. |

Kev, screwing in the boot rubber stops on the lid will induce "machine gunning" next time you try to open it. Try looking at the rear window clips, the rubber surround around the rear window, the boot hinges & in the boot rubber surround, look for small holes which are used as an air escape when closing the lid. One of mine had split. Happy hunting

Yes.
I've got the same problem and it started when I tweaked the boot lid position using the hinge plate bolts. Now it leaks when there's heavy rain. And I can't get the lid to line up properly. (A win win situation ). The water lands in a different place on mine. |

How'do Kev
I finally managed to get my Boot dry - the Lower Rear Screen Trim Clips were quite obvious to spot as a source of water ingress - these were sorted with Creeping Crack Cure I still had a bit of water getting in the Boot that I couldn't locate I used Creeping Crack Cure in the Area circled/arrowed in the pic - All is Dry now I assume the Trim Clips down the side of the Rear Screen were leaking.
