Default In praise of fabric seats.

After having to do a number of early starts during the bad weather, I have to agree with her indoors that the fabric seats in my Club are much kinder to the rear end than the leather. Don't get me wrong, I love the look and smell of piped leather but as you get older.................. I still have the black sheepskin rugs from my Connie SE which are great as mats in the summer!

Press the heated seat button. better still have the fbh wired to the heater to warm up at a pre determined time - at least that's what I would do if I had one fitted lol.

My last 75 had leather seats but the current one has cloth seats & I greatly prefer them. My bum used to slide around too much & they were cold when I first got in (not heated). The fabric seats still look like new after 15 years too

This is exactly why I've honestly always preferred cloth seats over leather, given that us brits usually get into our cars when the weather is cold.

They seem to feel warmer quicker too.

+1 here for cloth seat enthusiast

In the Bugatti Royale the driver/chauffeur had leather seats and the passengers in the back had Corduroy.

If I remember correctly in my youthful days all basic cars had leather seats, circa 1940's & 50's.
There was really no other alternative.
Leather now is really a Retro throwback thing, suited to the Rover 75 and snobbish high end price cars, nothing to do with practicality and comfort.
Kev.

My connie has leather seats, club se fabric. My wife calls them "posh" for leather, "comfortable" for fabric.

I have cloth seats in the diesel, and heated leather memory seats in the 2.5v6.

Cloth seats are also ideal for the more mature driver as they are much more absorbent
