Default Synergy box markings/spindle

My new CDT has a box fitted, but it’s got a knurled spindle in lieu of the marked dial I’ve seen on others. Basically can I assume it’s clockwise 1-10? Having a Pierburg should I be using 5-10?
I think it was on 4 when I got it and whilst I could feel the torque slowly building it had little pickup on the economy setting. Both air and fuel are switched on. I’ve just set it to 7 and will see how it goes on the way home from work tonight. I had given it a couple of bootfuls on the way home last night when some scally started chewing my towbar, it wasn’t that rapid but neither did it kick out any smoke - disappointingly!
97000 miles and seemingly a well serviced car by the way, and a manual.

Honesly, I would recommend removing the tuning box and getting a remap, or fitting a genuine bosch maf and returning it back to stock power. All the tuning box does is ramp the fuel pressure up all of the time

If you fancy a drive up to the midlands, I can plug the T4 into your car and we can see if it is all running well.

I kind of agree, this map is nothing like the performance of my 75 CDTi auto when I had that mapped up to about 150/160. I’ve not really got the funds for that map just yet, I have a local professional mapper who did the 75 and her Touran TDi to great effect. It’s more of just trying to get what I can out of what I’ve got at the moment!
