The worst day in the year when I was a scout and venture scout, St Georges Day Parade, I hated it. macafee2 |

When I lived in Thailand, St Georges Day was always celebrated by a small group of English expats, t-shirts, banners, flags, the lot. It was an all day bar crawl, and by late evening most were so far gone that they hardly knew what day it was anyway. Ironically, despite claiming they were proud to hail from England, most would have thrown up their hands in horror at the prospect of having to live there.
