A/C Compressor wiring
I am re-assembling the engine wiring harness. I cannot find the A/C Compressor harness. I cannot remember disconnecting it. This leads me to wonder whether this wire was ever presnet in the later version of the 2.5 litre connoisseur. Can anybody help me please

It's a single red wire Fred. Remove the access cover to the headlamp in the OSF wheelarch liner and you should find a connector. It comes from the air conditioning compressor relay in the underbonnet fusebox. All cars will have it.

Look for some black conduit by the power steering pump, it will lead to a grey connector shown in the two photo's below picked out by the yellow dots hope this helps. 1 2 Inside the conduit will be one single red wire which plugs into the compressor

Thanks that saved me some time. It's amazing how something that turns out to be simple wastes an inordinate amount of time. Thanks everybody. Heads go on tomorrow I hope. The wiring harness got itself into an enormous tangle of wires!!
