Default Rubber MG Mats

Dear All,
This is probably the simplest thing ever, but thought I would share it with you.

After buying my car a few months ago I was about to throw out the rather old and grey rubber mats...front and rear.

They had a big MG logo on them and found it very sad to stick them in the bin.

So I got out my large tin of tyre back to black stuff and got to work.

With a little effort and a bit of washing and then recoating they look like new.

I did this 2 months ago and they still look fantastic.

Has anyone else got ideas of other cleaning jobs that can be done with other products.

I must admit to using oven cleaner on my old alloy wheels...it gets brake dust off like a dream when you get at them with a brush....as long as you wash it all off after 1 minute as stated. (for ovens of course)

Thanks for that tip, my MG logo mats are looking a bit shabby so I'll have a go refurbishing as you did.

Moved to the The Valeting Forum as it's a bit better in here than the ICE section

I find all theses tips are great but still require me to do the work
