I'm using Torque on my tablet and it's working ok... I did need to upgrade to Torque Pro (think it cost 2.99) to enable some features but I can't remember if mph was one of the functions displayed once upgraded.

Hi Mate

Cheers, mine is the Pro version.....maybe its an issue between ECU and OBD reader?

I'm not too sure then mate if you are already using Torque Pro...is your car OBD2? My reader that plugs into the OBD socket is ELM327 if that makes any difference.

You have to enable location on your phone (GPS?)

Mine has a choice of GPS-sourced MPH or that from the ECU.
It's the basic version Torque app.

Worth checking OBD compliance and if you can get any OBD reader to work on your car. My old 1.8 52 plate woukd not communicate with any OBD reader we tried but connected perfectly to a T4. Although due to year you would think it should mine would not.

Also my V6 which is a year 2000 Cowley car does not either.

Have found this a couple of times.

Worth checking

Chris

I can confirm the app works on a pre-EOBD CDT so it could be an issue with your EOBD adaptor (some are better than others). If you can't get the speed to be read from the ECU then use GPS as the source for the app instead
