Default Mot aborted.

Hi all, well, put the zt-t in for mot today the tester had just completed the emissions test, which the car passed and then he came over to me and said he had to abort the test because the car has a coolant leak. As he reversed the car out of the workshop coolant was pouring out from just behind the radiator somewhere. I haven't yet investigated further but it would seem that maybe a hose has let go. Something else to,add to the list of things to do. Our cars certainly don't want us to get bored do they.

MOT tests by their nature put the cooling system through it's paces as engines are left running for 10-15 mins while stationary.

First check I would do is test whether radiator cooling fan is operating?

Simple DIY Test
Select DEMIST and front fan should run straight away on Low speed (even with a cold engine)
