Hi.
This the Pilot Radio.
The set is fully restored and in good working order. Cabinet is good too with just some scuff marks on the lower plinth.
The set is AC only so has a mains transformer which is a safety feature on these sets as they have no back cover from the factory.

Default Philips 472

Here is the Philips 472, is is also an very good condition, its virtually original with only a few components that were found to be faulty, replaced.
The set works very well for a TRF and has pin sharp tuning.
The cabinet is excellent.

Agree, the Pilot one is very nice. But my other half would blow a gasket if she found out I started my radio collecting again! Mind you, if I came across a round Ekco or a People's set then I might have to reconsider :-)

best sound you will ever get is out of a bit of valve driven radio.
used to have a b40. what a bit of kit . switch it on and the lights in the street would dim down due to the power it used up. but boy did it work well. lol
