Hi all!
Attended the last Nano meet today,, I had a few comments about my hat! https://www.flickr.com/photos/184668...posted-public/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/184668...posted-public/ And here's where I bought it. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Unisex-LE...r=651211248342 .... not sure it's a "diving" hat, as someone suggested though...... not sure what they were referring to ??

Worn Hats, caps etc "on and off"for many years. Driving and a hat has got to be worth it just to annoy, better still have a pipe in your mouth, need not be smoked just there. back in the day the motorist you were advised to keep and eye out were Hillman Minx drivers wearing caps and actually smoking pipes. I had a book about the 1930s guys who raced Bentleys. One thing that always stuck in my mind was a quotation from one of the drivers. He was asked what preparations he made for a race, his reply was "I turn my cap around and put my goggles on!"
