Default Plastic near top hose

driving today and the Plastic where the top hose connection to the block is cracked water everywhere I need the car tommrow night oh well plans out the window

Cdti trouble free they say lol

Can send you an elbow piece if that helps, delivery will be steep if you want it next day, just pm me and ca sort something out if you wish.........

Just done a thermostat on my Cdt and hated every moment of it !

Don't panic, the 'lost history' ones can be very reliable, its just an aged plastic issue, plus if it has had the top hose stat mod done this can weaken the joint where excess pressure has been applied.

Have you found the stat in the upper pipe to have a bearing on it breaking and cracking Trikey?

The y pipe to head seem to perish over time therefore break away around the rubber seal, a new part is only £20 and is quite an easy job to fit.

To be totally fair the things going wrong are wear a tear at 168k she will be back on the road soon cheers guys this place is absolutely brilliant

I’ve only found the plastic yo be an issue if it has been pushed on when the top hose stay is fitted, this can compromise the seal.

So it could have been me was cracked tho (I fitted a thermostat) but leaks only just got real bad
