Just what we've come to expect from you John - SUPERB

Because I spent the Summer on the East coast, there were some spectacular shows of light, but not to the extent you've seen.
The strangest was this one

... a strange mix of very dark clouds,with sunset orange under them, against an otherwise clear sky, taken at about 10.00pm at night.

Many thanks for your kind words,nice to be back after a quiet spell,on the piccie front I mean lol,very nice shot of a what I imagine was a very unusual cloud formation.

As you say Rod,being on the East Coast,you will have the opposite to us,some I imagine very spectacular sunrises,as sun rise/sets are my favourites,we could have a little thingy here,you do the rises,I will do the sets.

John many thanks for being brave and dipping your toes into the realms of creativity, manipulating the colours and light with good effect. It really is an art and a skill to be able to get the shot and edit right. You are there. Do keep it up.

A COUPLE OF SUNSETS TAKEN IN THE SUMMER,ACROSS THE SOLWAY FIRTH,WITH,IN THE 2ND SHOT,THE SCOTTISH MOUNTAINS FORMING THE BACKDROP.

Some lovely shots you have taken John

Being on the east coast we have to make do with sunrises accros the sea.
That involves getting out of bed early in the summer

I tend to wait until winter draws in for those shots bring lazy
