Still unresolved.

Good evening and thank you again to all of you who have helped with this issue.

The latest position is that I visited the mechanic today and he tried a number of options for achieving clutch pressure. This included backfilling from the brass-coloured connector to the master cylinder, topping up the line through the slave before bleeding and topping up the master cylinder reservoir under pressure.

Given that he has previously installed a new master cylinder, in addition to an earlier pre-used unit, we both feel we need to enlist help and expertise.

My request is please can anyone recommend a member and/or Rover 75 specialist who could visit the workshop in South Birmingham for final (paid) diagnosis/action on the master cylinder?
