Headlamp fixing and bonnet catches/cables.
Removed front bumper to have a go at repairing bonnet release catches/cables and also replace the silver fan resistor. I'm struggling to see how to access the catches and cables without removing the supporting panel. Any guidance appreciated. Took the opportunity to clear the washer jets and bottle. Whilst there I spotted a couple of extra bits and bobs to be done. One of which is getting a missing fixing bolt for a headlamp (see pic). I've searched Rimmer Bros site but can't find one listed. Can anybody direct me to one that will do the job please. Out of curiosity I also spotted this electrical gubbins, part of the fog-lamp loom, anyone know what it does?

just unbolt the slam panel.... not a big job...
look up on here about moving the crash bar up and closing the bonnet / bumper gap at the same time... takes about 20 mins and is well worth doing

Putting it all back into place this weekend. Bumper still to do. However catches seem to work and gold resistor fitted. Can't see where the temperature sensor clips onto the bumper. Am I missing something obvious? Also, any information what this object may be (and how it fits onto anything)? The adjacent circular bracket looks a possibility; but I suspect that is reserved for other uses. Any recommendations for cleaning the front of the engine bay? One side looks a bit historically oily. As can be seen in the picture. Or is it best left as is?

Hi David.
The ambient temp sensor will fit on a tab either at the top inside the bumper or at the bottom inside of the bumper depending on what year the car is. The JWL000020 sensor which is used for the FBH all you need to do is unplug it feed it through the hole in the bracket then replace the connector from behind, this is referring to the last photo you posted. https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-JWL000020
