To fit into the reflector 'holder', the LED body should be 10mm across. I know because I measured it after the first set I bought wouldn't go in.

I'm also interested moving to white LED. Are there any error free types (that also fit straight in) in the 'real' white 4200K range, the 6000K product is too bright for my preference.

i have the HALFORDS ones in all mine do what there supposed to and look very smart as well,especially in a mk1 lights they match my xenons and H9s which are also leds

Had a quick look and there are at least two types, any chance you have a part/rating desciptor or even what you were charged?
