In the middle of sorting an incontinent ball valve in the cold water tank, overflow has been dribbling for a while and getting worse. Up into the loft, lid off the tank, realise I hadn't turned the water off, back down. Up again, dismantle the valve. The rubber diaphragm in the valve had lost its flexibility and was absolutely minging, my hands were black off it! Online to find one locally, only place showing them in stock had to be the most awkward place to get to! Just back and about to reassemble the valve once I've finished a coffee.

Morning all from damp Saltash. But the skies are clearing with patches of blue emerging.

The Bear was on taxi duties last night ferrying Alan, Val, Debbie and myself. We met Matt n Shirley at the "Ten Tors" pub in Kingsteinton, Devon. Had a fabulous evening with cracking food and excellent company. Not laughed so much for a long time.
We drove home in heavy rain and the Bear never put a paw wrong. Ran sweet as a nut.

Easy day today.

Morning, sunny but bleedin' cold here. Confined to barracks due to the Scottish Half Marathon, main road past the cottages is shut all day.

Pleased to report the cold water tank overflow is no longer dribbling.
