Default 180/190

can i replace my 180 auto with a 190 engine as ive been reading that they are timed the same.

The configuration and therefore the tune is different. When you fit the 190 engine the ECU will still control it and restrict you to 180ps. Unless you changed the gearbox to manual and reconfigured using T4

nope don't want any of that just a good engine as mines nact

Of course you can fit an engine from a ZT 190 to a ZT 180 as Lovel has said its the 190 ECU that governs the extra bhp.

A 190 with any other tune throws up an engine management light!

Not sure if it does it the other way around, if it does a quick zcs code change and all will be well.

Why the difference in power? Is it to protect the auto box? And, is the only difference in the mapping?
