Hi Gordon.
What is wrong with your cables ? few links below but as always double check with the seller.

rimmers no longer have them but have a read about the Vin change

Wherever you purchase them from they are not dirt cheap.

I used ones found on eBay without issue.

It's not modern though, it is a car out of production for almost fourteen years, from a defunct manufacturer and it's not commercially viable to support once stocks are exhausted of a not particularly fast moving part, to tool up for a production run to replace stock.

If the part is a commonly used one, then once stock is depleted more will be sourced.

It is nothing other than commercial good practice, there is no room for sentiment.

If the cable is nothing special I'm sure one can get them made.

Cable and ends are generally available, same for bonnet cables.

You haven't said what the problem is Gordon. If you're assuming that poor handbrake performance is the result of stretched cables, I would urge you to think again.

you will need a deepish 18mm socket and a short short extension for doing the arm. Standard short extension I found too long for undoing the inner bolt of the arm.

If you have not got a short enough extension, you can make one from an extension that's to long. Cut off the square end where the socket fits on and then grind the round bar square to take the socket
