Default Aircon & reversing lights not working

Had the motor in to have the alternator & slave cylinder replaced – all OK now except I found on he way home that the aircon is no longer cold, and the reversing lights don’t come on when I select reverse gear.

There wouldn't be a common fuse for these, would there, he said, clutching at straws?

I know he disconnected the aircon clutch or whatever you call it to replace the alternator, but I’m not in a position to get under the car, and I can’t see any obvious connectors hanging off from above.

Bit strange that the reversing lights would also fail at the same time

The fuses under the bonnet all look OK (unless it’s a relay of course – wouldn't know how to check them) but it’s very hard for me to get down far enough to get my head in and check the big red board behind the glovebox

Default Update

So I dared to do the obvious, and look at the reversing light switch – not connected. Sadly can’t see where the wire is hanging down either, or I’d try to reconnect it myself – I live on a hill, so jacking the car up/taking wheels off etc isn't safe.

Oh well – at least I know now. I’m guessing he’s left the aircon connector off too

Will get him to sort it all out after Easter…
