Really, really wish I had left it 'till Friday as I had planned.

Sorry to hear that Cliff, that is a real choker, still coming to the Roverfest.

Sorry to heat that Cliff, hope you can get it sorted without to much damage to the wallet.

I hate it when this sort of thing happens, you have plans to carry out a task one day, but you decide to change plans in favour of time.
The task/job goes wrong, which leaves you thinking... why did I not just leave it?

Really sorry to hear that Cliff.

Why is it that every job always seems to create several more .

Have a safe journey to Roverfest.

Andy.

That's exactly it. If I'd just left things alone today, all would be well.

It's a relatively small chip, but right in the centre so it catches the eye. The money doesn't bother me so much as the fact that it was self inflicted. Such a plonker!

Just been out and had a go with some touch up paint. It looks a little better, but as always, the paint isn't a great match when it's right in the middle of a panel. I'll be a lot happier in a week or so when it's all sorted .

Hey ho.

Got the other 3 arches and wheels cleaned & dressed today without incident. Also flatted down and polished the touch up I did yesterday. Looks a little better, but sadly, there's a very small dent around the chip (like a "door ding") that shows up when the light catches it.

It'll do for now - hopefully the nice clean tyres will be a sufficient distraction (as long as they stay that way).

Glad to hear you for the rest of the wheels done. I have been using Autosmart Fusion for arch and tyre desssing. Its a new one and it works well so far.

Not tried that. This time around, I decided to try some Gyeon Q2. I've decided I prefer a more matt finish and so far, this stuff seems really good. Gave the tyres a good clean to get all the old dressings off and applied a single coat. It dries quite quickly and leaves the tyres looking much like a new tyre, with a soft satin sheen.

The real test will be how long it lasts.

You must be rich that stuff costs a fortune. Its meant to be really good. It cures and dries, so no fling and lasts well in the wet.

Not any more - spent it all on tyre shine.

First time I've tried one of the more expensive dressings. It does seem noticeably better than the spray on stuff I usually use, and yes, it drys quite quickly. You can touch the tyres without getting dirty\greasy hands. Hopefully it'll last a while.
