Afternoon all.

I don't blame you opting to wait for the scan rather than the surgeons knife Phil

Good to hear that you are feeling somewhat better as well.

Very quiet with work so far this week. Nothing booked till Thursday at the moment. Could do with some jobs to come in !

Anyhow, Fliss got my cameras attention this morning

Nom Nom Nom, I'm going to make some herby potato wedgies in the air fryer & mushy peas to go with them.

Seemed to have run out of thanks….

Jeff, well done! Another clear shot of Fliss looking at peace with you. The hospital just rang and I have been invited to attend for the scan at 08:30 tomorrow, so an early start in the dark getting there.

I wonder why your work is quiet this week, could it be people are watching their pennies and cutting down or do you have to offer a discount to your regulars to entice them back.

Hi Phil,

Good luck for tomorrow

The work I do for Car&Classic is entirely down to jobs being generated and offered by team the in your catchment area.
The job requests are sent out to all Togs in that area and the first to reply gets the job.
Some weeks there are more than you can take on so you can be choosy on which ones to respond to.
Other times it's just a bit quiet as is the case now. Nature of the beast with Freelance work.

My other 'dealer' clients are on set days but I only have the two of them on the books now.

A job pinged up earlier today but it was in Welwyn Garden City and I decided against taking that one. It was soon snapped up by one of the other Togs.
If it is something you want, you have to be quick to reply to bag the job

Ging is talking about finally seeing about a British passport. Part of the process is a test on life in the UK which are held under controlled conditions at various locations around the country. There’ are “dummy” tests online so I had a go. Hellfire! I struggled with some of the questions:
When is St David’s day? Easy if you’re Welsh!
Who built the Tower Of London? Bugred if I know
What did the Chartist organisation campaign for? No idea!

I think if I had to take the test I’d be deported

Morning all,

Dull, grey and wet here.

Might be a day of tidying and sorting the shed. Mind you, that'll take rather more than a day .

Been doing a trip down memory lane (excuse the word play that's about to come...) and been watching "New Tricks" with the 75's in Police colours. Ah, Alun Armstrong as ....wait for it.....Memory (Brian) Lane. Brilliant.

Maybe DI Lane could give me a hand in the shed.......or would that be more of a hindrance than a help
