Annoys my other half that I can watch her cooking then make the stuff better than she does, spring rolls, pork adobo (pork cooked with soy sauce, pepper, garlic), baking various types of Filipino bread to name a few.

Lump of pork about ready to go into the oven, that with roast pots, yorkshires, veg and gravy on the menu for later.

Wishing all the Chill Outers - and everyone else in this wonderful Club - as Merry a Christmas as you can have under the circumstances. Thank the lord for mobile phones, tablets and laptops - managed to see and speak to most of the family this morning

Not a lot, but enough to call it a white Christmas - the edge of the North Yorks. Moors escarpment as seen from my back door this morning:

Right - I'm off to open a bottle of Californian Malbec

Sounds good that Steve, I like those steamed pork Chinese dumplings, I even bought one of those presses but they still look like I'm thrown them against the wall when they come out everything cooked here, just about to go across to see Mam.

Scary to think if this lockdown, self isolation etc happened a few years ago, pre "electronic age" . . . . stuck in the house with only BBC1, BBC2, ITV or the radio for company

Keep meaning to have a go at them sometime, the filling is easy.

They're very morish, I make the dough & the seasoned pork mince filling but I never seem to get the dough right!!! I put a circle of dough in the press & then a tablespoon of filling & close the press but I always end up tearing the dough ~I still scoff em lol.
