We were supposed to be going out for lunch with my mum and aunt, for mum’s birthday, aunt has cried off as she doesn’t want to drive in the winter conditions.
I offered to collect her and mum, then come back for my own family, but she wants to wait until tomorrow’s forecast.

Cool

We have Yellow warning for strong winds and heavy rain today.

So it looks it’s chicken casserole for today.

Still not feeling all that great. Seem to be asleep more than awake.

Good morning Bob, good morning all. Bob, it won’t do you any harm to get out of the fast lane and rest up.

Yesterday, I had an unexpected garage bill. After replacing the tie rod ends on the 4x4, I took the car in for balancing and alignment. Been told both rear shocks are shot and both springs are too bouncy. £600 everything all in. The car is booked in for Monday. On the plus side, my brother-in-law says I can drive his Land Rover Discovery V8 to the camp site using it to deliver the food supplies. An 8 hour drive. I am chuffed. He is taking is wife’s Land Rover up mount Kenya (17,000 feet) and will need as much power as he can get in with her Landy. I wonder how far they will make it up. I heard the route is very steep. Another relative has a reputation for driving his cars hard and is not allowed to drive the V8.

I have never driven a Rover 75 V8 and never been a passenger in one

Morning all, take it steady Bob, keep warm and do nowt! If you feel sleepy then sleep, I find sleep a pretty good cure when you are under the weather.

Morning all, It's been a windy ol night and still blustery, weather warnings issued here for heavy rain, sleet or snow from 10:00am onwards. deep joy.
Don't tell Rod but the missus was last to bed last night & forgot to switch the heating off.

Zed was very much looking forward to this

He said Thank you very much Debs and Andy for the lovely badge in memory of our Freddie.
He will be showing it off to all the cats at the rescue later
